What are Open Workouts?
Open Catching Workouts are design to give Colorado catchers the opportunity to focus on their catching development with their peers in a low stress environment that fosters competition, experimentation, understanding, and ownership of their own development process.
No Scheduling, No Hassle
Workouts run every Sunday from 7:00pm - 8:30pm from Aug. 11th through Oct. 27th at the Rogue Baseball facility. Players show up to as many, or as few workouts as they want. No need to notify a coach or reschedule if you can't make it. Workout when it fits your schedule!
Who can participate?
Open Catching Workouts are currently available for High School age catchers only.

All catcher's are welcome to participate regardless of what fall team/club you play for.
Registration is restricted to a maximum of 8 participants. Spots will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. If the membership is listed as "Sold Out" that means we have filled all 8 spots. You can reach out to Coach Stout here and be put on a waiting list in the event someone backs out or if there is enough demand we may open up another time slot.
What You Get
A Typical Day
Prior to start of workouts - Players participating in that day's workout grab their personalized workout routine for the day. This is a set of drills tailored specifically to each player to best address their individual needs and accelerate their development. This is also a time for players to discuss their workout with Coach Stout and get any questions/concerns answered prior to starting the workout.
The "Typical" Workout Schedule
(7:00-7:10) Warm-Up and Hip Mobility (10min)
(7:10-7:30) Individual Receiving Drills (20min)
(7:30-7:35) Group Receiving Competition (5min)
(7:35-7:50) Individual Blocking Drills (15min)
(7:50-7:55) Group Blocking Competition (5min)
(7:55-8:10) Individual Throwing Drills (15min)
(8:10-8:15) Group Throwing Competition (5min)
(8:15-8:30) Misc. Drills / Chalk Talk (15min)
Post Workout - Players are encouraged to spend time after practice discussing questions/concerns, reviewing film, and reviewing their development plan with Coach Stout.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR ANY OPEN WORKOUT MEMBERSHIP AFTER A PLAYER HAS ATTENDED A MINIMUM OF ONE (1) WORKOUT, OR MORE THAN 7-DAYS AFTER PURCHASE, WHICHEVER OCCURS FIRST. WE DO NOT PROVIDE CREDIT OR PARTIAL REFUNDS FOR PLAYERS THAT DO NOT ATTEND THE FULL NUMBER OF AVAILABLE WORKOUTS.
